A 15-year-old reported missing after catastrophic flooding in Waverly has been found dead, police confirmed Wednesday afternoon.

Lilly Bryant was last seen by her family during rainfall when she hit a tree, fell off a raft-type device and became swept away in flood waters. Waverly Police Chief Grant Gillespie said all missing people have been accounted for after the floods, but there’s alsways a possibility that someone is out there that they don’t know about.

“Today was about our victim and we found her,” Gillespie said through tears.

The final death toll is at 20.

“Our families now have the closure that they need to move on,” Gillespie said.
